Scintec Software complies with ED-153 SWAL 4 Quality Standard

Software is becoming an increasingly important factor in the embedded systems used in air traffic applications. Application of international standards such the "ED-153" Guidelines for ANS Software Safety Assurance is essential to meet the "state of the art" in terms of producing safety critical software.

 
As one of the first companies in its sector, Scintec has adopted and was certified to comply with aeronautical ED-153 Software Assurace Level (SWAL) 4 quality standard for its software development and documentation. The processes applied for the qualification and maintenance of the baseline software packages SRun and APRun were certified to meet the requirements.
